Frosted Sugar Cookies

Remember, Sugar cookies aren't just for Christmas time! They make excellent tea-time dainties, in moderation!!

Frosted Sugar Cookies

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Cream butter & sugar. Add egg, milk and vanilla. beat well.Stir flour, baking powder & salt into creamed mixture. Divide in half, cover & chill 1 hour. On lightly floured* surface roll each half. Cut out with cookie cutters, Bake @ 375 degrees 7-8 min. for thin & 10 -12 for thick.

*Helpful hints.For sugar cookies use powdered sugar, so that the residue left after cutting is sweet.
